Day 3 Semantic analysis of the UK general election

This is the first daily semantic wall about three political leaders David Cameron, Conservative; Gordon Brown, Labour and Nick Clegg, LibDem.
The methodology being used is described in this post.
You are invited to comment and criticise as much as you like :)

  1. I've just had a brief skim through "Social Media Metrics" by Jim Sterne and found the perfect summary of this exercise.

    Data rich - insight poor.

  2. Excellent. So now perhaps this is an opportunity for clever people to turn data into insights.
Much better to have data to inform insights. It sure beats intuition and guesswork.

What is interesting about the data so far is that intuitively, or just a quick glance, shows that Gordon Brown has less of a footprint (OK no footprint) and guess what, the Labour Party (24 April), is changing its campaign strategy to give him a bigger image.

The word picture provided an insight at a glance. Don't think you can do better than that.

  3. The data you're displaying here shows no such thing.

  4. Explain please. What do you mean by "Gordon Brown has less of a footprint (OK no footprint)"?

How do you get that "insight" from the word cloud above?
